“For every girl and those who love her” Vaidehi #Review #AwakenDurga

Nithyadurga

It’s very rare that I take more than a week to complete reading a book of average length but this was a much-awaited non-fiction book and I allowed it to cradle me in it for as long as possible. I am not known for picking up non-fiction and especially not self-help genre but the title and the theme of this book was so intriguing that I couldn’t resist when offered. It is my 20th day with this book and throughout the time you could have seen me crawled up in some corner scribbling down notes or highlighting something in it. I think I haven’t read it, I have been studying it; worthy of that.

We do talk about empowering women, we do talk about society and we do talk about many other things and problems related to them but how many of you have pondered on some solutions for the same? I won’t say that this book is an ultimate guide to how to empower women or how to give them the much-needed respect but I should mention here that this definitely can be considered as a brave step in the direction which we need to follow.

Awaken the Durga Within is not just a boring self-help book which will preach and shut but it also has some factors which make it stand out from others. First, embedded with mytho-shorts which pop-up when relevant in order to give examples. Second, it has the day to day references with which you can connect and relate. This book will not pull you out of your problems; only you can do that but it can definitely tell you how you can do that.
